The nearest local shops are 10 minutes walk away on the Cromwell Road or Brompton Road. Ask the Porter for directions. Harrods is 10 minutes walk away on Brompton Road. Banks and the Post Office are also walking distance. There are smaller supermarkets for everyday groceries within 10 minutes walk and larger supermarkets a short bus or taxi ride away (ask Porters for directions). Kensington High Street is a busy shopping area about 15-20 minutes walk away from the flat (or a short bus ride away).
TOURIST ATTRACTIONS
Local historical sites include the Albert Hall, Kensington Palace, The Science Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Natural History Museum. You are also just across the road from the Serpentine in Hyde Park. All major London tourist attractions are accessible from the flat using the local bus or Tube network. Up-to-date tourist information is best provided using the Internet but there is some tourist information in the flat and the porters are helpful and knowledgeable and will advise you.
Theatre tickets are best purchased directly from theatre box offices by credit card, as booking agencies can charge a hefty booking fee.
